This year, the annual St. Ann Special Athletes Fun Day will be held on the campus of St. Ann Catholic Church and School (6529 Stage Road in Bartlett) on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Since 1991, special athletes from throughout the Memphis area have participated in a day filled with smiles, cheers and hugs.
Athletes from every school, church and care organization throughout the Memphis area are invited to participate in this much-loved annual event. It provides fun and fellowship for special children and adults ages 6 and up. These special people can compete in a number of track and field events, including the 25-meter dash, softball throw, soccer kick, frisbee throw, and bean toss, as well as events designed just for wheelchair participants.
Athlete check-in and day of event registrations will begin at 8:00 a.m., and opening ceremonies will begin at 9:00 a.m.
We encourage all special athletes to pre-register in advance using the online form below.
The St. Ann Special Athletes Fun Day began over three decades ago as a ministry of St. Ann Church in Bartlett. Volunteers from the church and school, the Knights of Columbus Council 7170, and several other organizations, will be on hand to assist mentally and physically handicapped citizens who wish to participate.
