 Eucharist

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven.” (John 6:51)

First Eucharist Preparation

Picture

Overview

Encountering Christ in His True Presence in the Eucharist for the first time, is an occasion of great joy.  Preparing our children for this encounter is a joyful journey!

Through our Children's Faith Formation at Saint Ann Church and Saint Ann School, our catechists help you to lead your children along this two year journey.

Eucharist I (1st Grade) begins to lead them closer to the Sacramental Life of the Church by reaffirming our love for God, God’s love for us, and our place in God’s family as the Body of Christ.

Eucharist II (2nd Grade) preparation focuses on the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist and the Mass as well as instructing the children on how to physically and spiritually receive the Blessed Sacrament. Baptism is necessary before receiving First Eucharist and First Reconciliation.

For questions or to enroll your child in our Sunday morning Children's Faith Formation (PRE) classes, please contact Kelley Stuppy at 901.373.6011 or [email protected].
