Requirements to be Candidates in February 2024 Class
Guidelines for service events (not hours) for Confirmation preparation are as follows:

• 6 Service encounters are required  prior to December 1st.
• Service encounters must focus on the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy
  • 3 encounters focusing on different Corporal Works
  • 3 encounters focusing on different Spiritual Works
• Each event should last multiple hours.
  
• Once complete, please fill out the "Service Reflection" form below to submit your monthly service information.
  

Service Events related to the Corporal Works of Mercy

• Assist an elderly family, friend, or neighbor with yard work, raking, mowing, flowerbeds, etc.
• Card Ministry- Make or purchase blank cards to send notes of encouragement. We have many options to do this. Please click HERE for more information.
• Make a meal for someone in need
• Organize a food drive-by drop-off
• Local organizations such as Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, St. Mary's Soup Kitchen, Room in the Inn
• Parish Giving Opportunities: Turkey Drive, Coats for Kids, Angel Tree, etc.
• Ronald McDonald House wish list items
• Projects with organizations such as Confetti Foundation, Operation Gratitude, etc.

Service Events related to Spiritual Works of Mercy (namely prayer)

• Pray the rosary once a week for the month
• Pray a novena during the month
• Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet once a week for the month
• Attend Adoration (helpful information)
• Participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent
